Custom Window Grilles – Types
- Colonial Window Grilles are the ever-popular style of wood window grilles that separates your plain window into equally divided panes that enhance the appeal of your home. See diagram below.
- Queen Anne Wood Window Grilles, also known as Victorian, Craftsman, or Prairie Style Grilles, were made popular by the well-known designer and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Although they may not look “right” with every home style, if they do, they can add a dramatic effect to the overall look of your home. See diagram below.
- Insert Grids are frameless window grilles that consist of just the cross pieces without the frames. They provide an economical alternative to the full surround grilles, giving up just a little of the finished look on the inside. From the outside, they look exactly the same. A little bit of easy self-assembly with detailed instructions is required but this is offset with a savings in both price and associated shipping cost. See diagram below.
